Mr. Harel is an Investment banker, active in establishing economic ties between Israel and Japan since the 1980s. Board member of the Israel Japan Chamber of Commerce since 1982.
Served as chairmen between 1988 to 1996 and since then, holds the title of Honorary President.
In 2004 he was the first Israeli businessman to receive the “The Order of the Rising Sun” award by the Emperor of Japan and Japan’s Prime Minister.
Harel holds a B. A from the Hebrew University and holds a master’s degree in East Asian Studies from Tel Aviv University.
